Recently renovated to a high standard giving 4 delightful en-suite bedrooms. Our aim is to make your stay in York with us the most memorable and enjoyable.
Many of the original features have been retained giving a beautiful traditionally furnished lounge which is both elegant and comfortable. Fresh flowers paintings and personal touches in abundance make it the perfect place after a day sightseeing or shopping to relax unwind and instantly feel at home. Free parking is available at the rear of the house or up a quiet side street 100 yards down the road. Alexander House is non-smoking throughout. Enjoy our delicious breakfasts served in our cosy dining room where quality of ingredients and freshness of produce is a must. Our newly refurbished attractive bedrooms are thoughtfully equipped with every modern personal comfort. At the 1237 (York by pass) turn right. Continue on the bypass and at the second roundabout turn left on the A59 towards York City Centre. After approx 2 miles you will reach an iron bridge where after crossing it you will turn immediately right into Dalton Terrace. At the end of the road turn left into the Mount then immediately right into Scarcroft Road (opposite Quick Fit Garage). At the end of the road turn right into Bishopthorpe Road.
